A joyous celebration of video game rivarly, platform loyalty and the battle for playground supremacy, curated by Michael Keegan and Roger Kavanagh. The exhibition includes
Pixel Perfect, a montage of iconic video game characters brought to life on the silver screen (often with mixed results) and Point and Shoot, a random collection of YouTube clips and websites reflecting the influence of video games on popular culture.

The 15 Second Film Festival Picture Palace is a custom-built, Art-Deco, two-seater cinema that pays homage to the golden age of cinema, complete with full red carpet treatment! Enjoy a series of eye-popping, lip-smacking, brain-tickling quarter-minute masterpieces from the likes of Roddy Doyle, Seamus McGarvey and Enda Hughes - and a truly reduced, distilled and purified cinematic experience like none other.
The North-West Film Archive, Irish Film Institute, All Weekend
The North West Film Archive is a unique digital collection of archive material from counties Derry and Donegal. provides free public access to over 90 hours of documentaries, news reels, television news, drama, short films, animation and Super 8 home movies. The archive will be available for viewing at the IFI courtyard during Darklight '08 – pay a visit!

DATA 2.0 Video Circuit Bending Workshop with Karl Klomp, Filmbase, Friday/Saturday
-An opportunity to work with the legendary Dutch media artist and VJ.
-Discover creative shortcuts with video circuitry and obsolete video devices.
-Learn the basics of the analog video signal and how to make function out of a shortcut.

Drklight Hearts Underground
Curated by Denis McNulty, Underground is an exhibition dealing with the changes in independent music culture over the last fifteen years, tracking the relationship between the local and the global, society and technology and charting the erasure of the boundary between the public and the private. The exhibition takes place in the basement of Road Records on Fade Street from June 27th until July 6th.
